Kyra Minturn

 Kyraminturn Sedgwick was born on August 19th 1965. She is an American actor and producer. Her role as the main character in TNT's crime drama The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most famous. Sedgwick was awarded two Emmy Awards in 2010 and 2007 for her portrayal Johnson. The series ended following its seventh season. Sedgwick is also well-known for her regular role in the role of Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was awarded a Golden Globe Award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film credits include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000) as well as What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). She also starred in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick is the daughter Patricia Rosenwald and is an educator therapy for families, a venture capitalist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII Speech Therapist. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was Episcopalian and of English descent. Sedgwick says she is Jewish and claims she goes to Passover seders.
