Barbara Ann Corcoran
Barbara Ann Corcoran (born March 10, 1949) is an American businesswoman, investor speaking, consultant writer, syndicated columnist, TV personality, author and author. The Corcoran Group, an NYC real estate brokerage, was founded by Corcoran. NRT bought it in 2001 for $66 million. Corcoran then exited the company. One of the show's original "Shark" investors, Corcoran has appeared in the entire 12 seasons of ABC's Shark Tank to date. Corcoran had signed 53 contracts as of February, 2020. Her largest deal was her investment of $350,000 in Coverplay for 40%. Corcoran was second of the family of 10 children, and was raised in Edgewater. Florence was her mother, who was a homemaker. Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. her father was a skilled worker throughout Corcoran's early years. Her family depended sometimes on food delivered by the local grocer who would deliver free food. Corcoran remembers her father as a drunkard who sometimes treated her mother with disrespect and disrespect, particularly after the fact that he was drinking. Corcoran struggled through her schooling, later learning that she had dyslexia. She went to the local Catholic elementary school and started the high school system in St. Cecilia High School in Englewood. Corcoran, who had failed numerous classes in her first year of high school, was moved to Leonia High School. There she received a grade of D.
